Who we are

Everpeak Co-Hosting is the short-term rental management operating name of Everpeak Contracting Ltd., based in British Columbia, and serving property owners across BC.

For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your information, email cohost@everpeakcontracting.com. That address reaches the person accountable for privacy at Everpeak Co-Hosting directly.

What we collect when you fill in a form

This site has three forms. We only ever receive what you type into them.

Free revenue estimate (on the Contact page): your name, email address, property address, an optional phone number, and any details you choose to add such as bedroom count, current platform or current nightly rate.
BC STR Compliance Pack (on the Contact page): your name, email address, your municipality, and whether the property is your principal residence.
Revenue estimate (on our advertising landing page): your name, email address, phone number, property address, number of bedrooms, and whether the property is currently listed.

Every field is optional in the sense that you choose whether to submit the form at all. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, financial account details, government identification numbers, or anything about your health.

Why we collect it

To prepare and send you the written revenue estimate or compliance checklist you asked for.
To reply to your enquiry and, if you want to go further, to discuss managing your property.
To keep a record of who we have spoken to, so we do not contact you twice about the same thing.

We use the property address you give us to look at comparable listings and local licensing rules for that area. We do not visit, photograph or contact anyone at the property unless you have asked us to.

What we collect automatically

Like most websites, this one records some technical information when you visit, and it uses Google advertising cookies. Specifically:

Google Ads conversion tracking. Every page carries a Google tag (ID AW-18426229783). It sets cookies in your browser and reports back to Google when someone who clicked one of our ads reaches our thank-you page. This is how we know whether the money we spend on advertising is producing enquiries.
Click identifiers. If you arrive from one of our Google ads, the link carries an identifier that lets Google connect your visit to that ad click.
Approximate location, device and browser. Derived from your IP address by Google and by our host. We see this only in aggregate, as regional and device summaries, never as a record of an individual person.
Enhanced conversions. Google's tag may take an email address entered on our site, convert it into an irreversible scrambled value (a hash) and send that value to Google to improve the accuracy of its conversion measurement. Google receives the scrambled value, not the readable address.

We do not use Google Analytics on this site, and we do not run advertising retargeting or build audience lists from your visit.

Who else handles your information

We keep the list of third parties deliberately short.

Netlify hosts this website and processes the form submissions, then emails them to us. Netlify stores that data on servers that may be located outside Canada, including in the United States, which means it can be subject to the laws of those countries.
Google receives the advertising and conversion measurement information described above, under its own privacy policy.
Our email provider holds your enquiry once it lands in our inbox, in the same way any email you send us would be held.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other property managers, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, contractors or lead brokers. If we ever needed to share it with a service provider to do the job you asked for, we would tell you first.

How long we keep it

If you ask for an estimate or the Compliance Pack and we do not end up working together, we keep your enquiry for up to 24 months so we have context if you come back to us, and then delete it. If you become a client, we keep your records for as long as we manage your property and for seven years after that, which is the period Canadian business and tax record rules expect. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, you can:

Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
Ask us to delete it, unless we are required to keep it.
Withdraw your consent at any time, including asking us to stop contacting you.

Email cohost@everpeakcontracting.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

How to turn off the advertising cookies

You do not have to accept them.

Turn off ad personalisation in your Google account at myadcenter.google.com.
Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. This site works normally without them; only our advertising measurement is affected.
Use the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada's opt-out tool at youradchoices.ca.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to enquiries is limited to the people at Everpeak who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach ever put your information at real risk of harm.

Children

This is a service for property owners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, and we have your email address because you contacted us, we will tell you.

Complaints

Please come to us first at cohost@everpeakcontracting.com. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
